The Alienware X51 system is offered with half-height mini-cards only.
The following WLAN cards are offered on this system:
Dell DW1502 802.11 b/g/n
Dell DW1503 802.11 b/g/n
You can install either of these wireless cards.
Unfortunately we have not tested the other cards on Alienware X51. You may take the system to the local store or to a local technician and check if the card is compatible.
***NOTE: Usage of these cards are purely based on customer’s discretion.
Got it, we are actually sending a different antenna and the re-route instructions with a technician. If you would like to take that option you just need to send us an e-mail to AWSocialMedia@dell.com and we'll take care of the request for you. If you are located outside the US or CA you will probably need to handle the case with the phone support. Otherwise, I'll be happy to help
Sorry about the issues you had with the phone support in your region. If I was able to send you the parts myself I would have done so.
We officially recommend the 2 ones that my partner sent, any of those should work fine. Otherwise, you can use an USB Wireless drive, I've never had issues with them
