Sound problems x51
I've had my x51 for a little over a year and recently my sound has started to have issues. My headset (Razer Carcharias) will play music, but the actual lyrics can't be heard. It also almost sounds like people are muffled when on Mumble for gaming. I tried two other cheap headsets I have as backup but they all produced the same exact problems. All I can assume now is this is a hardware issue or I messed something up somewhere. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix it or if I need a new sound card, it would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
Cristen

Hi CristenDH,
Start by reinstalling the audio driver:
1. Go to the "Device Manager" (find it by typing device manager on the start menu's search box and pressing enter)
2. Find the "Audio" drivers
3. Right click on the Realtek driver and uninstall it, check the box to delete all software for that device.
4. Restart the system.
5. Download this driver, install it, restart again and test the system.

Also unplug other audio things and see if that does anything. It could be the sound card though.

Also guess I should include I use a USB adapter. The front Headphone/Mic ports haven't ever worked so I never used them and the back ones that I tried don't seem to work now.

I've done all of the suggested things. Nothing. And now it seems the mic when I talk is crackling or just not even working at all.
