Are you saying it was originally installed by us from the factory on the Alienware Aurora? I do not see it anywhere on the Aurora drivers page.

The Aurora-R1 shipped with the Realtek 888 HDA 7.1 and the Sound Blaster X-Fi.
The Aurora-R2 shipped with the Realtek 888 HDA 7.1, Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme Audio, Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium.

Not sure how you got it on your machine without buying a dedicated Creative sound card.

However, over the years of buying Dells online ... I have seen "Software based Creative Sound Cards" offered ... to be used with on-board integrated sound cards. I have never purchased those options or really know how it works. I wonder if it's something like that?

Hi tesla, yes that was the exact software suite that came with my pc with no sound card lol, just the onboard 7.1, which i may add is still good. the software did sharpen the sound somewhat so i`ll keep looking for it. strange how dell installed it in the first place???

Well, you said you checked the (special, secure, online) My Dell Downloads area, but that is where these people found it:

Note, this is not the normal support.dell.com file area.
