what brand would u reccommend me to buy for the RAM..also im planning to change my processor and my wireless connection..what would be the best? Ty so much
You can find the Dell Certified memory modules here.
The only wireless card upgrade available for this model is the Killer 1103, however, this wireless card is mainly used for gaming and there's only a slight increase in performance.
3920 will work, I ran one in my M18X R2 for a bit then got a sweet deal on a 3940xm due to fact buddies (different manufacture) didn't like it to much (overheating issues)
if I remember correctly the 3920XM was offered albeit a 1000 upgrade cnd but was offered .. if it wasn't the 3920XM it was another xtreme quad core cpu .. but I remember seeing an extreme quad core when I ordered my M18x R2 ..
i have also MX18R2..if i plan to upgrade my CPU from i7-3740qm to i7-3940xm and GPU from AMD 7970m crossfire to NVIDIA 780M SLI..would there be a problem with power supply or do i need to change may power adapter cable? or just buy the parts and put them???
why not sell your system and get something modern, like the 17 R3? from what i am seeing, the components you are upgrading will costs a lot of money and is still slow.

Hi!
You can upgrade RAM up to 32GB, 1866 MHz, unbuffered non-ECC, single-channel and dual-channel DDR3 configuration.
The fastest video card supported is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M (although the performance is only slightly better than the 7970M).
Operating system can be upgraded to Windows 8.1

You're absolutely right 89fordprobee! Sorry for the confusion, I've corrected my previous posts.
Both i7-3920XM, 2.9GHz and i7-3940XM, 3.0GHz are supported by the M18X R2.
