Upgrading memory on Aurora
Hello,
I have Alienware Aurora with x58 mother board, 12GB Triple channel DDR3 1333 (6X 2GB), i7 920 processor.
I am planning to add more memory to install/run Virtual machines. The mother board supports 24GB DDR3-1333.
So, I am planning to buy 3 numbers of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820145315 (CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M2A1333C9)
The above link shows it as dual channel. Will this work for my mother board OR will there be any performance degrade compared to Triple channel memory?
Thank you for your time!

That doesn't look right because true DDR3 triple channel memory should be sold (and installed in) sets of 3.
See these links (and your Service Manual):

Hello,
Thank you so much for your reply and time!
I have looked at many articles and understood that - to obtain triple channel, all the three slots should be filled with same speed/config.
In my case, if I order 3 of the above kits (3 X 8GB = 3 X 2 X 4GB), I will be able to fill all 6 slots with same speed/config. So, is it not triple channel?
Is it possible to use 6 of those 4GB in my system?
Thank you
