If it’s the M17XR1 we just validated the following components,
Video cards:
Nvidia GTX 260M
Nvidia GTX 280M
ATI HD 4870
Memory: DDR3 1333 / 1066 MHz from 4 GB to 8 GB.
Processor:
Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Processor Q9000
Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Processor Q9100
Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme Processor QX9300
Intel Quad I7-740QM
Intel I7-840QM
Intel I7-940XM
You can upgrade to any other component but we cannot assure you that the system will work properly.
