The heat sync casing has shattered due to heat in my X51 and I wondered how to best go about replacing it. Any help is much appreciated.

Are you planning to replace with a Dell x51 part, or go after-market?

Amazon.com: Dell AlienWare X51 CPU Fan & Heatsink, WKGR1, 7C20C: Computers & Accessories
KN1NP is the lower assembly.
7C20C is the 4 pin fan.
