X51 Sound Issue

I have X51 desktop. I have owned it for about an a year and half. I am running
-Windows 8.1 (BIOS A14)
-i5 3.1 GHZ
-NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
-NVIDIA High Definition Audio, Intel Display Audio, Realtek High Definition Audio, NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (WAVE Extensible) (WDM)

Everything has worked really great up until a couple of weeks ago. I don't know what to do. I have updated drivers and replugged everything. I am running video and sound off a HDMI cord, but but every time I load Guild Wars 2 the audio stops playing from speakers? But I can still plug in a headset and hear the sound. Sometimes if I plug the headset in and then unplug it the audio comes back and sometimes it doesn't. Restarts don't solve the problem either. On top of that the video has begun to flicker and I get a a lot of NVIDIA has crashed but recovered messages. How do I fix the problem?

Hi,

Try re-installing the video driver as explained in this article and follow the troubleshooting steps here. Make sure the monitor is connected to the discrete video card ports (bottom) and not the Motherboard video ports (top).

Regarding the audio problem, if it only happens during Guild Wars 2, I would recommend you test a different HDMI cable and re-install the game as well.
