Is it part of the monitor for sure? ie you've tried it with a different computer, or at least seen if the line is still visible in your system's BIOS screens?
If it's the monitor, you'll probably have to get it fixed/replaced under warrenty, or else replace it if it's annoying. (That's not a common problem with LCDs-never actually heard of it.)

I connected flat panel to my laptop. Same line appeared.
Anty chance it could be the video card before I replace LCD?
