Thank you. I was thinking that but I wasnt sure. I wont have to upgrade the drivers or anything after this will I? Just wondering since I dont want this to happen again.
If your system works fine in XP, that's because the drivers are loaded and working correctly. In Vista, you haven't loaded the drivers for the card for Vista.
Your card is in the 8 series. Here's the link for the drivers for your card for Vista 32-bit:

Sometimes new driver releases will fix problems with certain software or make things run faster, so you might want to update occasionally. Also, don't forget to update any other drivers for vista that might be available.

http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/175.19/175.19_geforce_winvista_32bit_english_whql.exe
Download then run this file in Vista, reboot when prompted.
By the way, Microsoft will support XP for a few years yet, see here:

AND
if you enjoy playing games like Crysis, it would go a whole lot better with another 8800GT running in SLI. see here:

yes it's mine apologies for the cheap plug :)
Good luck.

you need to go to nvidia's website and download drivers for your video card. Just go here
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
and pick from the choices in the combo boxes to find the right driver for vista 32 bit.
