8100 Bios Flash, won't run flash program when restarting

Question

I have created the bootable Bios Flash disk for version A09 for my Dell 8100.  I then leave the disk in the drive and restart the computer, but the flash program won't work.  Do I have to do something else, like changing the setup to boot from diskette?

First make sure that the floppy drive appears first in the machine's boot order before the hard drive.  Secondly, if the boot order is correct then make sure that you are using the correct file which can be downloaded at this link here or try a different floppy disk.  A bad floppy disk can cause the machine to not boot from it.
