A Mouse Question

Hello,

Concerning an old Desktop with Windows 98 installed (belongs in a museum).  This computer does not have a scroll mouse.  I want to install a new standard Microsoft PS2 scroll mouse but want to know if I need to uninstall the software for this old mouse and then install new drivers for the new mouse.  Is all this necessary? Thanks..........

If the old mouse is using plain MS driver, then you should be able to install the new mouse and it will work, with basic functions. Then install the driver software for the new mouse. It will take over control of the mouse at that point.

Ok thanks for the reply.  But should I remove the old drivers first or just install the new ones over it.

I've never bothered to remove drivers before, the new one will take over.
