Adding memory to dimension 2400

I'm thinking about adding some memory to my 2400,I know you have to know the memory type, the speed and the number of connector pins. In my owners manual under specifications, memory it says, Architecture DDR,SDRAM, and it says Memory Type PC2100(266-MHZ) or PC2700 (333-MHZ) DDR SDRAM (non-ECC). And I don't see nothing about the number of connector pins.

I'm not sure what this means do I have two different types of memory installed here. What would I ask for If I wanted to install another 128 mbytes of memory.

I have a pentium 4 2.2 ghz processor, 40 gig harddrive, 128 mbytes of ram.

Thank you for your help on this.

contiuem1.

Go to www.crucial.com and use their memory selector, they have excellent RAM, that's guaranteed to work in your system and has a lifetime warranty. The modules are 184 pin DIMM

Select your system from the drop-downs and you'll find your RAM.

Just bought my 2400 this year and jumped it up another 256, planing on putting another 256 in.  My owners manual said the same thing so I took the side cover off and on the memory sticker it said PC2700 (333MHZ).  The pins is 184.  I should have bought the 512 stick, since 64 mgs of memory goes to video.

maximum memory capacity of 2400 is 1G  you have 2 connectors, the maximum speed of mem  you can install are 2 512 mb's of the same type.. ;> so you still have the option of adding 1 128 or 1 256 or 1 512.. ;>
