Annoying problem

Question

This is a really insignifigant, yet annoying thing. My windows don't fully open up. I have to click again the single square to maximize. Can somebody tell me how to make them permanently maximize upon opening. I hate dragging the corners. I know I can hit F11 to fullscreen, but I don't want that.

Next time you click on the little square to maximize the window hold down either the CTRL key or the ALT key (it's been awhile since I had a similar problem and I don't remember which). This forces Windows to remember the window setting next time.

Thanks so much. It was the alt key. The control key made it a full screen. It's amazing that the little things can drive you the craziest. Thanks again. Debby
