ATI Graphics card question
Hi
My Dell studio XPS 435 MT came with an ATI HD 4850 graphics card as recomended by the Dell website and sales person when i ordered. Tonight i went on to the ATI website only to find that the minimum Power supply needed for this Graphic card is a 450W. The Power supply on my Dell is 360W. How is this going to affect my video performance and should i install a 450 W power supply? Why would the sales rep not tell me about this hardware conflict when i ordered my Computer?

Peter915,
There will not be a hardware conflict with your new video card, and power supply. The power supply is under rated. The minimum rating maybe 360W.

In reality, your entire system will only need around 235 watts under a full load with the HD 4850 installed and a lot less if you are not doing any gaming so you should be fine.
