Audio-recording problems
i have a Dell E510 (313-2758) Integrated Audio and (313-3807) Dell A525 Speakers
My owner's manual: im currently pluggin my Greenwire[subwoofer+speaker] to the Green slot(6)
http://img488.imageshack.us/img488/2951/38hl.jpg
however, when i play a sound file and use programs like http://www.soundrecorder.org/ or FRAPS to record the sound, this is what i get:
Original Sound: http://www.geocities.com/ihateacidasitkills/piano_blues.mp3
Recorded Sound: http://www.geocities.com/ihateacidasitkills/rec0315-184421.mp3
the recorded sound seems low-quality and is of low-volume
i cannot think of what else i can do, i ran all audio diagnostics and it came out clean

If the sounds you are trying to play are low grade MP3's that can be the problem.
If you play a commercial audio CD and it's OK and/or a known good quality wav file that you have and it's OK or the system sounds are OK, it is most likely the other on-line or downloaded sound files that you are trying to play.

You tried "record" various files but did you just play a commercial audio CD and use Windows Media Player and see how it sounds? Also, plug in headphones and see if the sound is also bad there.
Forget the MP3's are they are not full fidelity anyway. Work with WAV files or Commercial Audio (playing only) and see how that works.
