Beeping noise inside the computer

Question

Audio works fine, it's just that when I try to adjust the volume through the system tray, the computer [inside] would make a beeping noise. Everything else works fine though, but this never happened to me.I tried unplugging and plugging the speakers back in, but still does the same. What seems to be the case here?

WindowsXP and I installed Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition 7.6

What operating system are you using and have you installed/reinstalled a Norton product recently?

Echo3, Download this file to your desktop, unzip the file, right-click on the file default.reg and choose Merge. That should fix your problem
