Benchmark Software

Anyone know of any free benchmark software I can use to test my graphics card?

Just installed a Radeon 9600XT on my Dell Dimension and I want to make sure that I have everything setup properly and that my system is optimized. So if I could run a benchmark program I could just post the results and verify that they look correct for my system.

Dell Dimension
2.0 Ghz P4
768 MB DDR Ram
Radeon 9600XT

Thanks again for all the help!

www.futuremark.com

this is where I'm from, download 3DMark 03 and 05, but 05 may be too much for your system.  3DMark sets the standard for all future games and 3D apps.  03 shows how games should perform and look now on your system, 05 shows how games will look and perform on your system in future.

Another useful (free) benchmark is Aquamark at http://www.aquamark3.com/
but the Futuremark tests mentioned by theMan are the best.

Thanks for the info guys :smileyvery-happy:

Are there any forums you know of where I can post the results of the tests? Or how would I know if my system performance in the benchmark tests is good for the specs of my system?

Thanks!!

Sure - after you run the Futuremark benchmarks - you'll be able to post them on the ORB site and compare them to other systems (provided you are using the proper drivers). It's an EXTREMELY useful site.
