First, Dell rarely announces what processors are supported by their BIOS updates.  Their generic phase is "support for new processors."

Secondly, the last BIOS update released for your model was in September of 2007.  Since your system is no longer in production, the chances are slim to none of Dell ever releasing another BIOS update for it.

It´s impossible to put a Quad-Core Processors in our boxes :smileysad:

About the "Enhanced Version" of the Optiplexes

NOTE: The AMD Phenom processor requires the 8-Mb NVRAM chip and is therefore available only on models that include the 8-Mb NVRAM chip. If your computer has the 8-Mb NVRAM chip and the AMD Phenom processor, the word enhanced appears in the title on the BIOS splash screen and the system setup program screens.

The DELL C521 / E521 has only a 4Mb NVRAM
