Blue Screen error!

Question

Not sure if this is the right area to post but for several weeks off and on at start up I get the 'blue screen'  The message reads as follows:   Stop Message: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x804E37EC, 0xF0586D8C, 0x00000000)   Begining dump of physical memory.  Physical memory dump complete.    I restart the computer and the message goes away. It then puts me to the Microsoft online crash analysis screen and states the following:   You are receiving this message becasue a device driver installed on your computer caused a stop error message.  This error message required a restart of your computer.  After the restart your computer should continue to opertate normally, however the error may recut until the problem is corrected.   I do not remember installing anything new recently that would cause this to happen.  Any help that anyone can give is appreciated!   Gina (trot)

Boot, F12, run the extended diagnostics on the RAM and hard drive.

Power on, press F12 immediately, and choose the Dell Diagnostics from the menu. Run a full system test including an extended test of the memory (RAM) and hard drive.

I had this problem on my Dell a few months ago. Fixed it by downloading Service Pack 2 for XP. The service pack fixes random BSoD 0x08E errors.
