Blue Screen

Last night my Dimension went down with the blue screen saying it was performing a physical memory dump. It told me to rstart, which I did, now it won't boot up at all. 2 beeps on starting and I get the choice of f1 to retry (does the same) or f2 to enter setup menu (lots of stuff i don't understand).
I tried booting from the re-installation CD, but I get the same blue screen again.
Could it be anything to do with the netgear network card I had installed earlier in the day to go with the cable modem?

Since you added a piece of hardware and cannot reboot your PC it could be the hardware or the result of you having been in the box and may have inadvertantly disturbed a cable. I'dd probably remove the NIC card and see if I were able to reboot properly since you really have nothing to lose trying this and might even find out it is not the problem as well. Best of luck.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately am 5 miles from PC...had to use work PC to use internet. Thinking of it the engineer who came to install the modem and NIC said that XP "sometimes doesn't like this network card" nice of him to say, but it was working fine for a few hours so I thought nothing of it.
When I restarted after the blue screen that was the first time since he'd finished installing it.
If removing the card doesn't work, any other ideas? Is there an easy was to completely start from scratch?
