Boot Message: Front Panel Not Detected
I am getting this message on a new Dell Optiplex 755 workstation. I am then prompted to press F1 to continue, F2 to go to Setup or F5 for diagnostics.
How do I resolve this issue?

Reseat (with the power off) the front panel connector that connects to the motherboard. Reseat - unplug the connector and then reconnect making sure it's fully and correctly plugged in.
If it's still detecting the error, you probably should contact your service provider (Dell ?).

To get to the cable I had to remove the CD drive, floppy drive, hard drive, video card, PS/2 card, CPU Heat sink, motherboard, and cooling fan. I had to basically take everything out except the Power Supply. I am now more intimately familiar with this workstation than I really wanted to be.
:robotmad: oh well... live and learn.
