BOOT PROBLEMS XPS 600

Question

I have a XPS 600 with Pentium D 3.2 Running Vista 64 with 4 GB ram and dual 7900 nvidia cards in sli. I installed the Pentium 965 EE CPU  It goes through the boot process starts to load windows and I get BSD that says windows has encountered a problem please check any new hardware installations. I try to boot into safe mode and the same thing. The processor is recognized correctly in the BIOS and all Vista updates are installed and the BIOS is up to date. I put the old cpu back in and it boots up just fine.   Any help would be appreciated   LES

What is the STOP code for the blue screen you are getting? Also, I recommend running the diagnostics off your driver & utilities disk to test the processor in an environment outside of Windows.
