Try starting in safe mode... And please post the complete error message. And also, did you add any new hardware or software before you had the problem?

Boot the PC and look on back of the tower. Are all 4 LEDs green? If not, look up the error code here:

You may need to open the case and reseat the RAM modules and PCI cards in their slots.

You might try clearing NVRAM too:

Thanks alot for your responses. I will try all the things you mentioned Ron. Hopefully something will work, but I think I'll probably have to buy a new hard drive anyway...so I guess its time was up. Thanks again.
