cannot create startup disk

When I tried to create a Win ME startup disk, I got this error message "The file 'aspi2dos.sys' was not found". There is an option to find the file in the Windows Millennium Edition CD. But I tried repeatedly to point to the CD without success. What is the problem with such most basic system operation. My system is becoming unstable, so the startup disk is urgently required. Please help. Thanks.

If you are needing a boot diskette, download CDENAB.EXE from support.dell.com/filelib.  It is a self-extracting boot diskette creator

Yes, I downloaded CDENAB.EXE and made the boot disk, but it did not pass the test with error message of "this is for DOS 8 (not sure the number) only." I may be old and tired and did not get offered computer classes while in high school, but I am certainly not iliterate in computer.

I did a web search on the file not found and this site explains the startup disk contents and provides a link to dowmload the file you need http://www.techadvice.com/w98/S/Startup-Disk_w98.htm

Hope this helps
