Well I decided to download the everest home edition and it seems like a great program. The hdd temperature is currently 41 degrees celsius(106 degrees fahrenheit). Is that good or bad? So is that temperature inside the pc or close to it?
Well, Everest Home Edition does not tell the cpu temperature. I downloaded the software for my old pc(Sony Vaio) and for some reason it will tell the cpu temperature there, but not on the Dell Dimension 9100. The only temperature it gives on the Dell is the HDD temperature. Also I decided to try the trial version of the Ultimate Edition but it still doesnt give the cpu temp on the Dell. I wonder why it tells the cpu temp on the Sony and not the Dell? Are there other safe and free software out there that gives the cpu temperature for Dell computers?
lol after the 2nd or 3rd reply it said you can't monitor dell temperatures lol, the hdd temp is through SMART on the hdd... and yes 41 is ok. i wouldn't want it getting any higher thou 60c is max for seagate drives from their site and 60ish is also used for maxtor i believe
