I have tried a number of 'fixes' but my computer keeps losing time.

What can I do?

Not knowing what 'fixes' you've tried, or the operating system you're using, try here  if it happens to be WinXP and you haven't already tried it...

I did the 'fix' before, but it didn't take. This time it seemed to work. I guess I'll find out tomorrow if it works.

Thanks!

Try downloaded the "Atomic Clock" program. Download the program at www.rocketsoftware.com/rockettime/install.asp
This program will daily adjust the time so your time will be exact down to a fraction of a second. Frank

Hi.

If the patch and time synchronization will not work, try what I did 10 months ago, I went to http://www.worldtimeserver.com and downloaded the AtomicClock Sync.v.2.6 utility and have keeped perfect time ever since, it's free and I found it to be a good little program, with no vices and from personal experience know it works with W98se, Wme and XP.

thanks! So far, so good.

I'll keep the your message and the other person's (who also recommended the same download) and use that if this fails.

Thanks to everyone for the speedy help, I really appreciate it.

I should have come here for help 5 weeks ago when I first noticed it! :-)

Dell sent me instructions a few weeks back for XP to go in and uncheck a box that tells it to use the internet for syncing the time. I will check when I get home for the correct place for this setting.
