I don't think I would trust what you found online. You can do a pretty good job by doing it yourself manually. Go to... Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup. You might want to defrag the drive also. Symantec's Norton Clean Sweep works well also if you prefer an automated way.

You probably want to remove any unnessacary software via add remove programs in the control panel.

letting a program to clean old files is a bad idea.... it may delete something that you may need in the future... anyways..... do you still get that error?

The specified module could not be found.

Then it has the "OK" button.

Wed, July 20, 2005 10:10 AM If the spyware and trojan proggies came up with nothing and you are using IconPackager version 3.xx, then try this and see if unregistering the iprepair.dll fixes it:

Start> Run> type in: regsvr32.exe /u "c:\program files\stardock\object desktop\iconpackager\iprepair.dll"

if you suspect if it is a trojan, update your antivirus software, and do a virus scan on your pc. If nothing shows up, well analyze the problem further.

I suspect that when your PC is booting up the an applet that gets loaded with Windows is missing the required file, hence the error message. Be aware that most Icons that sit next to the clock are started during your bootup and Windows loading procedure.
Normally the reason you can get past this error message with no harm is that it not needed to make Windows run correctly.
If you know how to use MSCONFIG then I would suggest you run it and click on the Start Up tab and scroll down and look for check mark in box calling for this file. If you find the box uncheck the box. Click apply and reboot. You will get a screen stating that you are running in a modified mode. Just check the box that says don't show this again.

To run MSCONFIG
Click Start, then Run
type MSCONFIG
Click Start up tab

All the items you see there are started when you reboot and reload Windows, shocking but true..
