One suggestion... with the computer off and unplugged, open up the case and reseat all your cards, memory modules, graphics card and the processor and see if that resolves the problem.

The standard disclaimer.... I don't work for Dell nor am I associated with Dell. I'm not even related to Michael Dell, although there are times I would like to be the first born son to Bill Gate$.

If Windows was perfect, Bill wouldn't
be trying to sell you the next version.

At this point I would contact Dell Tech Support and see what they can suggest. If your machine is still under warranty this would definately be the route to go.

my computer isnt under warranty anymore and their suggestions thru e-mail are not working nor getting me closer to the problem at all.i wanted to just buy a new case/power supply and motherboard but dell said to hold off in case we could solve this problem.
