computer doesnt recognize video camera
I had to have XP reinstalled on my computer and now when I plug my video camera into the usb ports it pulls up the add hardware wizard, but then it tells me that it couldn't find the software to install. I have used this camera before and it has worked. I don't know if i need to download a driver or what? I don't know much about this stuff. Can anyone help???

Ok, the possible reason is that you originally installed software that was wiped out with the reinstallation. So: if the hardware wizard doesn't get you anywhere check whether you have a cd with software that needs to be installed . If you can't find it, go to the website of the manufacturer of your camera and see if they offer any software for your camera.
