computer freezes help!!!!!!!
i just set up internet on my compaq presario 2266 and after i updated the computer freezes at the exact same time every time i start it up. i noticed that it freezes before the progam ZONEALARM starts up. is there any way i can uninstall programs before windows starts up. if i cant can you give me any other suggestions.

Try going into Safe Mode by pressing the F8 key just before Windows starts to load. Rather than uninstalling Zone Alarm, when you are in Safe Mode, go to Start > Run and type msconfig then click OK. On the startup tab, remove the checkmark in the box in front of all Zone Alarm components. That way Zone Alarm will not try to start when you go back to normal mode and you can thus test to see if in reality Zone Alarm is the problem.

What settings are you changing? Which old computer are you talkling about?
