Hello,
I recently downgraded my old computer from a pentium 4 to a celeron.
Now it wont turn on. Every thing seems to work well as there are no beeps or sound but the display wont show up.
The pc is a non dell as i build it my self.

Plz reply as it urgent.
Thanks

it could be that the celeron is incompatible with the pc. if you can tell me more about your system, and the processor, like the socket type on the mobo, and the core of processor.

It maybe worth checking if you have graphics card (rather than an on-board) that its firmly seated into its socket, if a graphics card is incorrectly installed, the computer will fail to start at all. Altough the lack of error beeps, makes me tend to think that the processor is incompatible as Ravik251 has suggested.

What is the downgrade from a P4 to a Celeron for?

well then looks like static electricity fried your pc. Make sure the psu and motherboard, ram and hardrive are good in that order. , enjoy the weekend, ravi
