Copy & Paste Problem

According to Clipboard help, information moved to Clipboard remains there to be reused at a later time until you move another piece of information to it, or until you quit windows. This does not appear to be happening and I do not have an explanation. In other words, nothing is ever in Clipboard when Desktop is the only thing open. Is this a changed feature of Windows ME 2000 or is this a changed feature of Word 2000 or is this a problem?

Problem 1 – Explanation
When I exit from an application (Microsoft Word, for example) in which I have copied something to Clipboard, the information that I copied to Clipboard disappears. Also when I open a new Word document, the paste function is not available on the scroll-down menu. If I leave the original document I copied from open, then paste is available.

Problem 2 – Explanation
Whenever I copy something from a Microsoft Word document into an AOL Email one time, the shortcut icons (new office document & open office document) on the Start menu cease to function afterwards and the only way to make them function again is to restart the computer.

Problem 3 – Explanation
Whenever I copy something from a Microsoft Word document into an AOL Email, it fails to leave a space between words that happened to be at the end of the sentence in the AOL Email.
