Dead Studio Desktop
Hello. I have a Studio Mini-Tower, Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q8200 (2.33GHz, 1333MHz FSB), w/ 4MB cache (ca 2009) that won't power up. I've read several posts but will try this. The green light on psu is on but no fans. I replaced the cmos battery, pulled out the psu & did the paper clip check and the fan came on. I unpluged all plugs & video card & reseated them. My real question is this: if the mb is bad what would be a good choice as a replacement? I have a new desktop but would like to use this as a good backup. Any help would be appreciated.

What model computer? That is necessary to answer questions. It is not worth replacing a dead motherboard in an old computer. It would not make a reliable backup.
