Dell Dimension 8300 PROBLEM :(
Hello,
I've formatted my Dell Dimension 8300 and installed XP and SP2. Now I've got this problem. My PC says that it can't find drivers for Parralel Device, SM-busctontroller and USB Device. Can someone help me please!!! PS. The language on the screenshot is Dutch.

StumpyNL.
Have you installed chipset drivers? They should be on the "Utilities and Drivers" CD.

Hi, in order to solve this problem you need to install the chipset drivers from your Resource CD..The installation instructions are as fallows..http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kb/en/document?c=us&cs=19&DN=1080617&type=SRG&l=en&s=dhs
These are the installation instructions for the rest of the drivers which are required. Click on the link below and install the drivers in order which is give here..http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/software_reinstall/en/index?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_8300&ServiceTag=&results=true&category=0&OperatingSystem=47
In case if you are confused or have any difficulty call the Dell Tech Support (1-800-624-9896) this is a very straight forward process which any tech can tell you easily..

Hello,
Thanks for your help. Unfortunately the problem isn't solved. I can't call the helpdesk because I live in the Netherlands and we ain't got any technical support, at least, a good one. I installed the Chipset thingy from the Dell CD but the hardware is still not detected. Could you please help me.

After looking at the image you have posted I can see that you have installed many of your softwares also by now. What I can suggest you now is to remove all the external devices if you have any printers or scanners or else any USB devices and then try reinstalling the chipset drivers again.Do a windows update if you are able to connect to the internet..
