Some of you may already be aware of this nice Mac looking desktop docking utility from Dell. It works great on a desktop or laptop and in Vista 32bit or 64bit. Click Dell Dock to go to the download page.
This was installed on my Inspiron Desktop. Great feature! Went to install on an older Dell laptop. Received the download from www.delldock.com. I am receiving an error message "Dell Dock's language file...failed to laod". Any ideas?
This worked for me with the 1.5 version of Dell Dock. Go to the Directory "PROGRAM DATA" (NOT PROGRAMS) then subdirectory "DELL" then subdirectory "DELLDOCK" in that subdirectory you will see a file "ENG". Delete the "ENG" file and reboot. Dell Dock should configure itself and work fine.
The file that is missing from the ENG folder is Default.lang.xml, you might find that there are some other missing files in the ENG folder i had 3 missing that i copied from outside the ENG folder from the delldock folder into the ENG folder.
Default.lang.xml BaseSettings.xml uninstaller.xml
Check that you have the same files in the ENG folder as those in another LANG folder.
hey guys, i have a dell desktop with this docking system, i love it. I wanted to know if this dock thing can be installed on a non dell computer? I went on delldock.com and downloaded the application, tried installing it but it said that its only for dell hardware, is there anyway to get around it? I would love to have this on my lenovo but i dont know how to. Thanks for any help guys....
I have the Dell Dock on my inspirion desktop computer. I like the features but for some reason it disappears all the time. I even go to the advanced setting in the dell dock and check it to run at start up but it never does. I even create a shortcut on my desktop but that disappears too. I even tried uninstalling it then reinstalling it but still the same problem. Can someone help me figure out what is wrong and how I can use the Dell Dock & make it stay on my computer???

The Dell Dock Utility is for Dells only. Try RocketDock. Similar utility.
