As you have learned, your power supply doesn't have a 6 pin power lead coming off the unit.

Instead you'll need one, maybe two, Y 4pin molex connector like the one shown below:

Good LucK

Dale

Cool Master Centurion 5 CAC-T05 Mid tower case
AMD Athlon 64 3700+--->AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego
MSI K8N Neo4-F Socket 939 ATX motherboard
1GB Cosair ValueSelect PC 3200 DDR 400 SDRAM
EVGA GeForce 6800GS 256Mb GDDR3 PCI Express
Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200Gb 7200rpm SATA 150 HD
Plextor 708A 8x burner
OCz GameXstream 700 watt psu
Logitech Optical Mouse MX310
Logitech Wingman Rumblepad

Which one? There should be a number after the FX...

If it's a single slot Quadro, then you should be able to run it, although that's an unusual kind of card for a consumer system.

When you say that you can't power up, what do you mean. Is it absolutely dead? Does it boot but you can't see the screen? Does it boot with a bunch of beeps? This kind of info can help determine if you have installed it properly.

U better check the spec's on that 3d card because it may also require you to have a bigger power supply than what u have. I have a E520 also, with a 305 watt power supply and I was looking into buying the NVidia 7950 but it calls for at least a 350 watt power supply. So I called dell to see about upgrading mine from a 305 to a 500 watt but they said they only supply what it came with. So I am sending mine back because I just bought this computer and cant even use the 3d cards that are out now.

I was looking around in dell's website, there is this 650 watts power supply for the XPS G5 for replacement or upgrade

So I'm just wondering if you can place this in the E520 or is it compatible?

That won't work, you could call Dell spare Parts and order a psu for a D9200.
