Dell Technican

How does one become certified for Dell warranty calls.

I am an industry (Microsoft & Novell) certified technician located in New York. I am interested in becoming an Dell service technician in the Brooklyn New York area.

How does one go about doing that?

Actually I've been there. DCSE.dell.com. and was told the following:

"As mentioned in previous email, the DCSE program is not meant to certify for warranty calls. It is for Dell customers who request hardware maintenance training on our systems."

So what program do I need?

capitalmindz,

A similar question was asked a month ago in another conference. That questioner was directed here. I think it's what you are after.

Thanks again but that isn't it either.
This is taken right from the premieraccess site.

"Please note that the Premier Access program is not an authorized service center program. This program allows Dell's large account customers the option of selecting their own service provider if the eligibility guidelines are met by both the enduser customer and the customer appointed service provider."

"A service provider may participate in the program only for the limited purpose of supporting Dell enduser customers who request the service provider to service their products or if the service provider is acting as a self maintainer"...."The program is not available to support small business or individual consumer accounts. There is a minimum requirement of 100 systems registered to the Dell enduser at the location(s) requesting enrollment."

Perhaps the Dell Authorized Service Center Program is what Im looking for. Does anyone have any links on that?

I cant see where any in warranty Dell Certified Technicans are employed by Dell, even in their home state. Are you sure they employ them. Or do they  work for Dell Authorized Sevice Centers, not owned by Dell ?

I am looking to find out what program an individual or company must take part in order to become eligible to respond to Dell warranty service calls for they’re area.
The specific name of the program and the criteria needed in order to qualify.

Speaking with Dell has not been very helpful as most representatives do not seem to know anything about the program.

Premier Access is for Large companies with their own in house help desk staff.

The Dell Certified Systems Expert program is only for customers who whish to become certified in Dell hardware. It does not make one eligible to service Dell warranty calls for a particular area.

I am under the impression (for now) that the program that does certify one to receive Dell service call requests for a particular area it the Dell Authorized Solution Provider program. The Premiere Access site referrers to this program only to state that it (The Premier Access Program) is NOT the Authorized Dell Solution Provider program. It however does not provide any information on the program or its criteria to join.

The information I am looking for is this:
What program makes one eligible to receive and respond to Dell service calls in a particular area?
What is the specific name of the program and what are the criteria to join.

Thank you
Taraje Solomon
