Dell usb mouse keeps getting booted
My mouse is constantly getting booted & freezing up so that I have to unplug it & plug it back in CONSTANTLY & it is getting REALLY aggravating.Any ideas what I can do to solve this?? I've already rip/reinstalled the drivers & that didn't work.I'm not sure if it is a mouse problem or the usb ports problem.

Always include PC model and version of Windows in your posts. ;)
If this is XP, open Device Manager and expand list under USB. Right-click each root hub and click Power Management tab. Uncheck the box "allow PC to turn off this device..". Repeat for all root hubs.
Note: if some hubs don't show the Power Management tab, disconnect the USB device attached to that hub. You may have to move the mouse to a different hub after you uncheck that box for the new hub so you can do all of them.
Reboot when you're done.
