Dimension 4550 Audio Problems
I have a Dimension 4550, and my audio is cracking. For example in I-tunes, and also in games. This did not happen before, It only started resently, and it is quite annoying.
What do I do?
I think I am running SoundMax, if that is right?
If so should I uninstall the drivers and re-install, if that is the case, where can I download these drivers from online, I lost that dell drivers cd months ago and wish to take care of the problem as soon as possible...
Thanks for any help that will be given

Click on "Product Support" at the top of the page, enter your Service Tag number and it should give you access to all available downloads for your PC.
A comment. You should keep all the restore CD's (or make new ones from the Dell downloads). It's not "IF" you will need them, it's for "WHEN". Same way with your user data, back it up periodically so you'll be able to restore it when your PC crashes and you have to reformat the hard drive and reinstall everything.

did you ever get your noise issue fixed?
or did you just learn to live with it?
In particular, did just reloading the drivers fix the problem?
