Dimension E310 will not boot, post, etc.

I'm working on a Dimension E310. When hitting the power button to turn on, the button lights up orange and never turns green. Nothing shows on the screen and there are no beeps. I put in a different processor which did not resolve it. I also tried a different power supply that also did not fix it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Chad

Solid or blinking amber?

Check the reading of Diagnostic Lights on the front panel?.

Solid yellow. That is why I figured it was the processor, but a different processor does not resolve it.

Thanks,

The only light on is the power button light which is a solid yellow.

CEV.

If you are certain that the power supply is good, then try this:

Remove the power cord, hold power button in for several seconds to discharge the residue power.

Remove all the PCI cards, the video card [if applicable], memory, all peripherals, disconnect the data and power cables to all the drives, then check that the front panel cable is connected to motherboard, with nothing else connected to the system, reconnect the power cable and power the system on.

If you do not get any beep codes or diagnostic lights on the front panel, then it would appear that motherboard has died.
