Dimension E510 Boot Problems
I have been having some of the same boot problems from what I can tell with my E510 as some of the other forum users. The power supply has been put into another comuter and works fine, I have already spent $150 and replaced the motherboard. When I did this the computer worked fine. I had a friend install the new motherboard and try the computer out before I brought it home. I brought it home and used it twice since. For the past three weeks I have been using my laptop and when I tried to turn it on a few days ago Im getting the same error messages as I was the first time. The green lights on the front of the computer come on 1 2 3. Do you all have any suggestions other than replacing the power supply or the mother board? Im still within the 90 day warranty on the new motherboard, would it be useful to try it again?

Sorry if obvious, but have you investigated the items referred to in the diagnostics for lights 1-2-3 illuminated?

It does sound like something is working its way loose or is not properly seated. But exactly what, I cannot say.

The manual doesnt really help, the code 1 2 3 just means "some other error" and none of their solutions have fixed the problem. I have tried them all.
