Do I need Javascript[1].js file?

What does the Javascript[1].js  file do? Can I delete it?  My PC Cillin detected a virus (virus was effecting temp files) in it, and quarentined it. Now, I don;t know what to do with it. Can I delete it? Should I restore it? The virus hasn't been effecting my computer anymore. PC Cillin doesn't answer. A notice says the fiel was submiiteted for evaluation, and if they can't clean it, they'll delete it. So do I even need it? Would it be OK to just delete it? Withit in Quarentine, I'm not using it anyway, right? Would I need to  redownload it, or something?

Also, my PC Cillin icon at the bottem of my screen, on the bar, has turned to just a black square. I tried re-click on "make a shortcut" for it, but it had no effect. How do I get the icon to show up again? I can click on the black box and it connects fine, just no icon.

Delete the file from quarantine (it IS the virus) and delete your TIF (Temporary Internet Files) just to be on the safe side.  I think this is the JS Seeker virus (your A/V log should confirm this).  It would probably be a good idea to run a full system scan but all is probably well...sounds like the A/V did it's job.

It was called   JS_TRAFFICBAR.A

But if you go to Trend Micro to look it up, you have to go to the search and type in js_traffic. It is the last one listed on page 3.

It created an extra task bar at bottem of page, and then caused pop up ads all over the place that you couldn't get rid of. Each time you'd   X  out of the ad, it would pop up again and again.

After reading the Trend information as well as some others it seems this is "malware" of a sort.  Also, re-reading your original post gives me reason to doubt it is completely removed from your system...have you tried following the instructions to remove it manually?

Yes, I did. But when I get to the part where I'm supposed to look for a certain file and delete it, that file is not there.

I don't seem to be ahaving any problem anymore, either. I did delete the file that was in quarantine.
