Driver version numbers (OptiPlex 9010 example)
If I go into the 'Drivers and Downloads' page for this product and look at the Intel "82579LM Gigabit Network Connection", it shows a version number of "16.8.0.0" but when installation is attempted the version displayed there is "11.15.12.0". This is rather confusing. Why are the "internal" and external version numbers are different?
Just wondering. Maybe the answer will help other users as well.
