Drivers for Opti 7010_SFF
I've been tasked with getting drivers for multiple OS'es for an Opti 7010_SFF desktop. When I add a driver to my download list, some of them ask if I want the Dell Update Package. I'm not sure what that is. I've been downloading both, and extracting to the same folder, while canceling any auto-install that runs post-extraction. The drivers are then moved to a share that is accessible during the provisioning process. We use LanDesk and a hardware independent image process, which is why I need to have all the correct individual drivers.
So, what is the Dell Update Package, and do I need it or can I just use the other file to get the drivers I need?
Also, are the drivers in either digitally signed? I was told it made a difference on chipset files, and digitally signed were preferred.
Thanks
Rick

Here's a link to discussion of the Dell Update Package v7.
Many/most of pages for individual drivers now include a checksum value so you can verify that each download was correct.
