The board is single CPU only. To go dual-processor, you must buy a Xeon-based system (workstation or server); the P4 supports uniprocessor installation only.
The only way to control and monitor temperature is to add a new fan and a monitoring box to the system - something like a Thermaltake Hardcano (www.thermaltake.com). You cannot do so with software alone.
