E510 Diskonchip 2000 not responding properly...
My old E510 gets an error saying the m-systems diskonchip 2000 is not responding properly.
When I put the computer to 'sleep', it won't wake up - screen is black, the power button green... but won't respond. If I press the power button - it shuts off...
Help!?!

It may not like the stick in the system. Can you remove it before you put it to sleep?
HERE is what appears to be the latest driver for it

I have an E510.
I don't use anything like this, but HERE is a driver download. Try reinstalling the driver for this and see if it helps. Actually, this is the first post that I've seen on this forum about this product and I've been here since 2002. According to Wikipedia this product was discontinued in 2007 after SanDisk purchased it.
In ref to the sleep problems, many times it's a device driver that is causing the problem. Which one ????

Thanks, I'll try uploading the driver... and yes, I've had the system for a while - bought it new from dell way back when...
