That desktop system supports one SATA 'or' ATA hard drive.
Here are your system specs. The drive size will be 3.5", and you can use most any capacity hard drive. Dell does not post the BIOS size limits for hard drives. But you should be good to go to about 350GB if you want one big partition. You can use a larger drive if you partition it equal to or smaller sizes of any BIOS limit. I suggest SATA over ATA drives for simple speed.
