fatal error messages

When running the Windows maintenance wizard, I get these messages when it reaches 95% completed: a fatal exception 06 has occurred at 17C7:0005FDB, pressing any key I get one saying fatal exception 06 at 0167 BFF9DFFF.
Then, when pressing any key again, I get this as the last message"explorer executed an invalid instruction in module KRN396.exe at 0001:0000394d. Please advise.

i spotted your problem and have had exactly the same down to the last dot and have been waiting for someone to click in with a solution or explanation.
I suspect it might be a Mcavee glitch or maybe Zone alarm.
Have you used either because this happened after i downloaded the Mcavee upgrade and free Zonealarm program?
I reboot and it goes and it has not happened for a while. I am reluctant to remove these two programs because they work fine. i shall leave a message at the fron of the queue for Bob 11 and Pam.

I only have the Mcaffee virus scan, not the other one, so it must the the culprit causing all the problems. I might uninstall/reinstall the Mcaffee to get things back working again, but will await someone from technical support to help me out.
