Firewire Problem

Question

Hi I have a yellow exclamation mark next to my IEEE 1394 Bus host controller device. Does anyone know where I can find the driver for this device. I've tried disabling,unistalling,rebooting system. When it boots up it finds the device but cannot install, 'unable to find the driver for this device'. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks I have a Dimension 5150

Have you tried the 'Drivers and Downloads' section of the Dell site? Enter your Service Tag and see where it leads you. Good luck.

Hi Thanks for the reply, Ive looked at the driver downloads for my comp and they don't have one for the Firewire, so I'm a bit stuck as to where to go to get one.

Hi. It appears that you'll have to determine what brand card you have, go to their site and download the drivers. I just checked a couple sites and found drivers for various cards.
